The Commitments
Peace is something that will probably never happen in the world. So why not commit to something to at least make this world a little better. By helping others you are doing a great deed that would be greatly appreciated, and that is a sense of peace. As for one commitment I am attending a benefit “Amp’d on Giving Benefit” that a few of my friends have put together. I will be donating items to the Reynolds Shelter for women and children. I think it is a great opportunity to give to someone else that really does need the help. For my future commitment I would love to go help serve food to the homeless shelter during Thanksgiving. It would be an awesome opportunity.

peace is going to happen someday in the world. with hope everything can happen but the most imporant is that we not need to seat down and wait for this society to calm down we need to work together and fight for peace too.
ReplyDeleteIt is good that you are committing yourself to this specially during this time of christmas season when you see a lot of needy people. Good luck on this project and hopefully you impact many lives.
ReplyDeleteI think it's awesome that you donated items to a shelter for others. It is nice to help others who are in more of things than ourselves. Certain people would give anything to have a pair of shoes rather than none at all. Any help towards these people touch their hearts and make them happy. That is very nice of you also in wanting to help serve food for them on Thanksgiving. I too would like to do that someday.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet of you. I agree that giving out time and care is one of the most valuable things we can give. I also have volunteered this season at Nazareth Hall which is a nursing home. Whenever I go and help i feel really good about myself for helping others. good job.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very good and humble thing you are doing. I helped with a fundraiser so we could buy clothes for the poor and homeless kids. Kids who do not want toys but warm clothes to wear. Now that the holidays are here it is a perfect time for helping others, giving money and clothes to those who don't have much. I want to go help give food for the homeless especially for the holidays, we should all do this it is after all only once a year. It can be yearlong but this is when we need it most.
ReplyDeleteI like this post. I think it's great that you are committing to creating peace. I also donate to a woman's shelter here in El Paso and I know that they truely appreciate it. Some people are less fortunate and it's time that they get a chance to recieve a helping hand.
ReplyDeleteI like your long term commitment about feeding the homeless! I fed the homeless last year on thanksgiving and it was really sad, but it made me feel great to see how happy people get when they receive their food.

ReplyDeletereally there are not many people who would do such thing as you are doing. That is a great way of expressing yourself keep helping, you really do make a difference in others.
ReplyDeleteThats pretty cool that you are willing to dedicate that kind of time to promoting a sense of peace. I don't ever think I could do something like that.I'll just stick with changing little things in my personality instead
